A Story of Success and Resiliency: The Asociación Chajulense de Mujeres in Guatemala

True Roots was happy to see this blog post from The Coffee Trust celebrates the continued success of Juana Hu Mateo and the Asociación Chajulense de Mujeres (The Chajulense Women’s Association) in Guatemala. True Roots consultants Jose Luis Zárate and Summer Lewis had the honor of working with Juana Hu Mateo and the Asociación for many years, and it’s a joy to hear about this group’s self-sufficiency and resiliency!

This is a testament to the leadership of women like Juana and the long-term commitment of organizations like The Coffee Trust. This is international development at its finest, and it’s the sort of work we at True Roots are committed to: supporting projects that address needs identified by the community, and that build resiliency in the process.
