“First National Encounter – A Stronger Mexico: Pillars of Positive Peace” was a two-day intensive training on the Institute for Economics and Peace’s (IEP) peace measurement tools.
The goal of the workshop was to strengthen youth Positive Peace leadership in Mexico via more than 300 national youth leaders attending. True Roots coordinated the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of the Rotary global grant that funded the encounter, a joint effort of the Rotary Foundation, IEP, and Rotary District 4185 in Mexico.
True Roots designed and conducted an impact evaluation measuring the knowledge, skills and attitudes participants acquired as part of the training and how they apply these post-training in the short- to mid- term.
Using a logical framework method and four digital surveys, True Roots compiled reports on the workshop component of the event, feedback from workshop facilitators, key findings based on participant feedback pre- and post- training, and a final analysis.
This work has been shared widely since its publication, and True Roots will provide evaluation services for a Second National Encounter.
